Torn

Torn

I am split
between two worlds

my soul in dreams forgotten
my anatomical frame trapped in “reality”

I am who I am now
Yet simultaneously another person

I am everything and everyone
never whole
never at peace

memories forgotten
a life not lived

forbidden to love
yet loving all the same

My God
I don’t even know
my name

The Dreamer

The Dreamer

chose the hidden path
seen by no average eye

many eyes see darkness
few eyes illuminate

no soul can find his or her way
a soul will on this day

a strong heart beats within her chest
until the end she will never rest

she swears this
sealing her wish
with a magic kiss

she dares to enter the unknown
adventure shall be sown

by her subconscious she is led
fantasy streaming through her head

awaken she thinks these images dreams
still enchanted by how real it seems

Soul Feeling

Soul Feeling

I want to feel
it all around me

to return back to
a time of purity

to feel warm and cold
air on my skin
sweeping around me
in a circular motion

to feel water
lift me up
in serenity

to feel fire glow
on my face
and blood flowing
wildly through me

to feel earth between
my toes and on
the soles of my feet

but what I want most of all
is to feel my soul
to stop the Fall and
find complete peace

Only then will I
feel complete

Open Arms

Open Arms

I open my arms
and let them in.
My dear friends
and close kin.
They know who I am
and know who I’ve been.
They protect me
from sorrow and sin.
I open my arms
and let them in.

Inner Self

Inner Self

In the wind, I hear the voices of spirits.
In the water, I see reflecting emotions on my face.
In the fire, I feel warmth dancing on my skin.
In the earth, I grow flowers in the spring.
In the morning, I greet the sunrise.
In the night, I say goodnight to the moonlight.
In the nature around me, I feel divinity.
In myself, I feel my soul as it should be.

Deep Within

Deep Within

wind whispers secrets in my dreams
a knowledge concealed in a box called my soul
it lies frozen in time
until I’m ready to reach within
and reveal its truth

The Tarnished Truth

The Tarnished Truth

Polish me up.
Rinse me off.
Make me up?

But remember
I’m only human.
Imperfection can,
and should,
be beautiful too.

I would prefer
to be untarnished
from my past.
But there is only
So much I can do.

Polish me up.
Rinse me off.
But never
try to make me
something I’m not.
